Armed Intruder Stands Over Sleeping East Lansdowne Resident Before Fleeing: Police

An armed intruder was arrested after breaking into a home, and standing over a resident as she slept in her bed, authorities in Delaware County said.

Quinn Sivels, 41, of Philadelphia, was later identified as the suspect who broke into the Pembroke Avenue home in East Lansdowne armed with a gun around 2:30 a.m. on  Friday, June 3, local police said.

The pair fought over the gun, and the man eventually fled her home on foot, East Lansdowne police said.

A few minutes later, officers captured the suspect near the home, they said. The handgun described by the victim was also recovered from Sivels.

He was charged with the following:

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Criminal Trespassing
  • Simple Assault 
  • Recklessly Endangering Another Person 
  • Terroristic Threats 
  • Possession of an Instrument Of Crime 

Sivels was released from county jail after posting 10 percent of $50,000 bail, records show.
